House Portrait Commission

Description

Our homes mean a LOT to us. They hold memories, milestones, and meaning that we cannot find anywhere else. If you have a home that has played a special part in your life, then have it celebrated and preserved in a custom hand-created ink and watercolor portrait!

Your house portrait will be hand-drawn by me in waterproof ink on archival watercolor paper, then brought to life with watercolor paint. I leave a small white border around the portrait so that it looks elegant and clean when you frame it. I will work with you to include any special details that you like, such as writing the address at the bottom or adding flowers that aren’t blooming at the time the reference photos are taken!

Portraits arrive unframed and unmatted. I am unable to provide custom framing at this time. However, the offered sizes are very common photos sizes, so you will easily be able to find matts and frames to fit your portrait!

Your portrait will be finished and mailed to you between mid-September and end of November 2021. This is a great time to order a commission as a Christmas gift! I can guarantee it will arrive to you on-time with enough time for you to frame and wrap it. If you have a special date you hope to receive your portrait by, please let me know and I will do my best to meet your hoped-for date. Please read below for further details.

IMPORTANT DETAILS: PLEASE READ

• Once your order is placed, I will contact you via email to talk through any details you would like included in your portrait and to receive reference photos of your house. Please have ready the best high-quality photos that you have of the house from the angle you would like it portrayed. If you have multiple photos, that’s even better!
• I will notify you when I begin your house portrait, and potentially send progress photos. You will also be notified when it ships and provided with a tracking number. House portraits are shipped with protective (and recyclable!) materials so that it reaches you safe and sound.
• Commissions will be completed in the order in which they are ordered from the website. However, please let me know in the notes or in our following emails if you do or do not have a specific date you hope to receive it by! I will do my utmost best to meet your hoped-for date.
