Mini Tutorial: Coffee Rings

Grab your cup of coffee and relax while you paint these watercolor coffee rings.
Trying to create an actual coffee ring onto your sketchbook can get rather messy. Painting them is not only fun but also gives you more control of the outcome!
Lately I’ve enjoyed painting coffee rings in my sketchbook as an accent or for a layering effect. You could paint them into your sketches or journal pages for a whimsical touch. Or you could layer a whole bunch on a sheet of paper to create a unique piece of art! I’m sure you’ll find all sorts of fun ways to use these in your artwork.
Materials You’ll Need:
• A round watercolor brush with a pointed tip
• Watercolor paints in various shades of brown
• Watercolor paper
• A pencil
